If anyone ever doubted the weird phenomenon in which society feels uncomfortable when a woman is in charge of her body and sexuality while raising children, the social media accounts of many famous mothers are a hotbed full of people who fiercely clutch such outdated ideas to their chest — while attempting to force them on everyone else.

After posting a nude photo and subsequently being shamed for “setting a bad example” for her kids, the SKIMS founder wrote an open letter on her website to address the internet’s unnecessary concerns. “I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality,” she stated. “You be you and let me be me.
