Poogan’s Porch

Another restaurant promoting a porch means another place where you can bring your furry friend. In fact, Poogan’s Porch was named after a former neighborhood dog in the area. He once graciously accepted table scraps from every family on the block on Queen Street and most preferred hanging out at the porch of the home that would become Poogan’s Porch, the restaurant’s website states. He even stayed and greeted customers when the restaurant opened in 1976 until his death in 1979.

Myrtle Beach

Pier 14 Restaurant and Lounge

Address: 1306 North Ocean Blvd.

Self-described as one of Myrtle Beach’s most popular oceanfront restaurants, Pier 14 started out as a nightclub in 1984. However, the concept didn’t take off as expected and so the place was later shifted into a restaurant. Given it’s open atmosphere and its location by the ocean makes it a wonderful place to bring your favorite pooch. And since it is an oceanfront restaurant, there are plenty of savory seafood options to enjoy while you’re there.
