8 Best Anime Series Coming to Netflix in 2024
Netflix is home to some seriously must-see anime. In fact, 2024 alone has already seen some killer releases.
We’ve had season 20 of legendary pirate adventure One Piece, knight-battling epic The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and a movie from the Attack on Titan studio called Maboroshi (it’s about a town where time has stopped).

T.P Bon (Season 1)
Release Date: May 2nd, 2024
Fujiko Fujio’s legendary manga returns for the first adaptation in three decades. It follows high school student Bon who, with his power to travel through time, visits historical disasters to save people’s lives.
Blood of Zeus (Season 2)
Release Date: May 15th, 2024
The first season of Blood of Zeus debuted three and a half years ago. Its follow-up continues Heron’s quest to save Olympus and Earth, and in the process, live up to his father Zeus’ expectations.
Ultraman Rising
Netflix Release Date: June 14th, 2024
Ultraman is one of Japan’s most iconic characters. In this feature-length movie, superstar baseball player Ken Sato inherits the size-switching superhero’s powers. There’s one problem: he must raise the kaiju child of his worst enemy.
Rising Impact (Part 1 & Part 2)
Release Date: June 2024 and August 2024
Based on the beloved 1998 manga, Rising Impact is what happens when you mix the legend of King Arthur with golf. It’s a sports anime sprinkled with references to English folklore and the Knights of the Round Table - the central characters, for instance, enroll at Camelot Academy.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance (Season 1)
Release Date: October 2024
The pop culture behemoth that is Gundam adds to its aura with a new series set during the One-Year War. It follows Iria Sorari’s attempts to defend the European front. Created with video game engine Unreal Engine 5, it is only the second production to be entirely computer animated (the first is Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO).
Beastars (Season 4)
Release Date: 2024
The fourth and final season of this ‘whodunnit’ anime hits Netflix later this year. It explores the tension between herbivores and carnivores at Cherryton Academy, where a student was brutally murdered. The prime suspect is Wolf Legoshi. “He wouldn't hurt a fly,” reads the official synopsis. “Or would he? Will dwarf rabbit Haru bring out the beast in him? Or are his feelings for her...something else?”

Moonrise (Season 1)
Release Date: 2024
Full Metal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa designed most of the characters in this highly anticipated sci-fi anime. Set in a future in which criminals are sent to live on the moon as punishment, Moonrise tells the story of their uprising as they fight to escape their life on poverty in the War of Independence.
Kengan Ashura (Season 2 – Part 2)
Release Date: 2024
Kengan Ashura is set in a world of thriving gladiatorial combat. Here, the rich hire gladiators to fight in unarmed combat, AKA ‘Kengan’ matches. Season 2 follows the continued adventures of Ohma Tokita in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament as he fights to prove he’s the strongest around.
