1. Zoom, Skype & Houseparty
Looking for a hassle-free streaming solution? We recommend scheduling a watch party via a video chat platform like Zoom, Skype or Houseparty—that way, everyone can decide on a movie, press play at the same time and enjoy the picture with minimal tech requirements.
To use Zoom and Skype, simply create an account and start (or schedule) a meeting. This will generate a link you can send to friends and family. Houseparty, on the other hand, allows users to engage in other activities—like games—during the video chat. But don’t forget to close your group to the public once everyone has entered the “room,” or else a stranger could potentially join your Princess Diaries marathon.
2. Gaze
The software lets you video chat and sync-watch movies with others from a distance, meaning you’ll watch at the exact same time. Pros: It’s extremely user-friendly, which means your kids will have no trouble operating the interface. Cons: It’s a YouTube-specific service, so your streaming options are somewhat limited.
3. MyCircleTV
If you’re still living in your pajamas, have no fear. With MyCircleTV, users can watch movies with their friends via voice chat (no video required). Oh, and did we mention there’s no annoying registration required?

To enable it, simply look for the Watch Party icon, which is located on the Details page next to “List.” Currently, it’s an online-only feature, but it’s bound to become available on other devices in the near future.
8. Disney+ GroupWatch
With Disney+ GroupWatch, users can sync up to seven devices across web, mobile and television to watch movies together. It’s important to note that there’s no chat feature—instead, viewers interact via emoji reactions.
To activate GroupWatch, simply select the icon that looks like three people grouped together, which is located on the right side of the screen. This will generate a link that can be shared with friends and family.
9. Rabbit
Rabbit allows you to play Netflix, YouTube and other online movies (even games!) with whoever you please. Since users can share their browser, the streaming possibilities are endless. All you need to do is create a chat room, invite your friends and family and start binge-watching.
