John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder In Shower Lightening Treatment
How different can an in-shower hair lightener be from the purple-toned conditioners that reduce brassiness? Very. This is a true hair color treatment, replete with visible results and an ammonium hydroxide scent that comes from more intense dye kits. We applied the single-use tube throughout our hair and rinsed after a 5-minute wait in the shower and emerged a brighter blonde with less-harsh roots. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer
The best time to hydrate the skin? While the body’s still wet. But applying lotion atop water droplets typically makes for a greasy mess that doesn’t absorb. This lotion is designed to work with H2O; applying to wet skin before toweling off not only saves us from ashy skin, but helps us get dressed that much faster. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer ($8)

Jason Foaming Shower Oil
Stepping out of the shower, drying skin, then lubing it back up again and waiting for it to absorb is a minutes-long time suck that leaves us naked and cold for way longer than we care to be in winter months. That’s why we’ve replaced our bars of soap with cleansing oils. They clean skin by attracting and lifting dirt and makeup, but also hydrate at the same time, negating the need for lotion. While many cleansing oils turn milky with application, this version foams a bit, mimicking the sudsy-ness of body wash. Jason Foaming Shower Oil ($11)

Pursoma Hot Tub Bath
Nobody likes being sick on an actual sick day, so we’ll try anything to ward off oncoming symptoms, including this raw and vegan mix of clay, salt, and ginger. At the first flash of cold sweats, we followed the almost ramen-like instructions provided, slamming 16 ounces of water, hopping into a tub of warm water, and pouring in the included sea salt packet. Once the salt dissolved, we stirred in clay and powdered ginger packets and soaked for 20 minutes. After, we wrapped ourselves in towels and followed the prescribed “sweat and rest” for 30 minutes more — something that left us warm, calm and feeling much better. Pursoma Hot Tub Bath ($36)

St. Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan
Sunless tanner, you tempt us so with the body-slimming illusion and J-Lo-like sheen you can provide. But sometimes, we’re not willing to risk becoming orange, streaky, and stinky in the pursuit. This self tanner, applied in the shower then rinsed away after three minutes wait time, eliminates the need for mits, precise application, and a clothespin to the nose. While it won’t take you from Netflix and chill shut-in to back-from-Tulum bronze, it will provide a believable glow that builds over time. St. Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan ($25)

Olay Age Defying Body Wash
OK, so this isn’t designed to be a lotion replacer, but it is made to moisturizing like the Dickens — it contains the hydrating equivalent of one jar of moisturizer inside. After cleansing with this body wash, we found our skin to be adequately quenched, no dose of after-shower lotion needed. Olay Age Defying Body Wash ($7)

Ahava Liquid Dead Sea Salt
Many of the 1.5 million people who flock to the Dead Sea every year see smoother and clearer skin after floating in the salty water. Save yourself the airfare and try this gel instead. Though it looks and feels like a body wash, it’s works as a sort of dead sea soak to go: Apply the gel to your whole body two minutes before getting into the shower, then rinse off after stepping into the shower. Just like when in the dead sea, it lightly tingles—and leaves skin feeling glassy smooth and helps diminish random body acne, too. Ahava Liquid Dead Sea Salt ($23)
