Welcome to Travel Week! Fashion people are always on the move, and the industry has been venturing into tourism and hospitality more than ever. So with summer-getaway season in full swing, we’re bringing you five days of expert-led product recommendations, outfit ideas, wellness tips, packing advice and more. We hope you stay a while.

"Vacation" doesn't have one singular season or definition. Depending on who you ask, an ideal one could mean taking an Amtrak upstate to hike through the endless greenery or hopping on a Jitney bus to the Hamptons for a much-needed break from the city chaos or even flying to a destination with higher altitudes to drift in the snow. What remains a constant: Packing a perfect outfit is integral to making sure the trip is as stress-free as possible. (I mean, is there any worse feeling than scrambling last-minute and throwing random clothes into your suitcase, hoping for the best? Probably, but it's certainly up there.)

Below, we've curated six looks for every variation of your dream vacation — and one for lounging in the airport while you wait to take off.

The Hamptons is full of people living the now-infamous "quiet luxury" life, but who says you have to fit the mold? Stand out and match the sun's energy with a vibrant button-down and pant set, simple to take on and off for easy pool access. To accessorize, a tote with a designated tennis racket holder might just be the greatest Hamptons-aligned invention of all time.

Perhaps you're less interested in lounging and more interested in exploring — but just because you're treading nature trails doesn't mean you can't look good. All-cargo-everything being trendy is pretty convenient for a summer backpacking trip. Don't forget plenty of sun protection (including SPF!) and a solid hiking boot to keep your feet happy.

Skiing out West

If you prefer snow over sun, you might be planning your winter vacation out west instead of a summer trip to the tropics. For a skiing or snowboarding look, fun colors are essential — not just for a fashion moment, but also for safety, to make sure you can be seen on the slopes at all times. Warmth is just as important, so be sure to stock up on thermal layers.

If you're more of a homebody, a staycation might sound more exciting than landing somewhere new. Play tourist for a few days and check out that hotel you've passed no less than 100 times on your regular commute. Just be sure to wear your comfiest pair of sneakers.

Camping (or glamping)

All it takes for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city is a few hours on a train or in a car. Whether you prefer a more rugged camping experience or seek out a premier glamping site, your outfit essentials are the same: long pants to avoid mosquito bites, combat boots and so on — though, a Miu Miu water bottle might lean more towards the glamping side of things...
