Pay attention to labels when choosing a moisturizer for acne-prone and oily skin. Here's what you'll want to look for, according to Danusia Wnek, a chemist at the Good Housekeeping Institute's Beauty Lab:

• "Non-comedogenic" or "oil-free" formulas are less likely clog your pores, which is great for any skin type but particularly oily skin.
• A drug facts label that lists active ingredients on any products that claim to help treat acne (like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, for example).
