7-Eleven's Bring Your Own Cup Day Returns This Month
Slurpee lovers, mark your calendars! On August 27, thirsty patrons are encouraged to bring their own cups and a bit of creativity to 7-Eleven's Bring Your Own Cup Day. Open to 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty members, the quirky promotion lets customers fill up any container of their choice with a Slurpee for just $1.99.
Although customers have gotten quite crafty with their Bring Your Own Cup Day containers, there are some stipulations about what vessels can be used. The container must be clean, water tight, and leakproof, and it needs to fit upright within the 10-inch diameter hole in the in-store display. If the vessel doesn't pass the display test, it won't fit under the Slurpee drink dispenser.
7-Eleven's current roster of Slurpee flavors includes Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Piña Colada, and Coca-Cola. The available flavors can also be mixed to create your own fun flavor on Bring Your Own Cup Day.
According to Dennis Phelps, 7‑Eleven Proprietary Beverages Senior Product Director, this month's Bring Your Own Cup Day follows the success of Slurpee Day in July.
"We know that Slurpee drinks are a summertime staple for customers, so we're bringing back BYOC Day to celebrate the popular frozen beverage for a second time this summer following a very successful Slurpee Day," said Phelps in a statement. "We want customers to build the Slurpee drink of their dreams while having fun with their vessel of choice—and we can't wait to see some of the creative cups they come up with."
