7-Eleven Welcomes Fall Early by Unleashing the Pumpkin Spice Latte

7-Eleven is changing up its menus well before the changing of the seasons and earlier than ever before.

The company decided what better time than now to re-release one of the most popular coffee beverages: the pumpkin spice latte.

7-Eleven's Pumpkin Spice Latte is said to combine "a classic espresso flavor with savory autumn spices to create a sweet and creamy pumpkin-flavored beverage." So if you're more of a plain ol' cup of joe drinker, then 7-Eleven's Pumpkin Coffee–with or without the Pumpkin Syrup–may just be enough to spice it up for you.

The fall-inspired coffee and beverage options are said to already be available at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripe store locations.

It's not just the drink menu getting an early makeover, as the convenience store is also setting out a limited-time Apple Cider Donut, featuring an old-fashioned ring cake donut that is glazed and coated with an apple cider sauce, as well as three other fall-favorite snack items later this month: the Apple Snack Pie, the Apple Danish and the Pumpkin muffin.

“We know our customers wait all year long for their favorite fall flavors…so we decided to break out the pumpkin a little bit early this year,” said Dennis Phelps, a rep for the company, in a statement. “It may not quite feel like fall outside yet, but it sure can taste like fall as we enjoy the first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season.”

Apparently, the competition agrees, as Starbucks and Dunkin' will also reportedly launch the fall edition of menus before a single leave hits the ground.

Think it's too early to break out the pumpkin spice? Don't worry, other retailers around the country–including Trader Joe's, Taco Bell and Wendy's– are still offering summer-inspired flavors that will only be here until the weather begins to cool off.
