[There are spoilers below for this season of The Handmaid’s Tale. If you’re not fully caught up through episode 12, feel free to get on out of here!]

The season finale of The Handmaid’s Tale is next week already, and while you might still be tripped up on that whole Serena-turning-Fred-in twist, there is so much else happening that needs to be addressed by the end on next week’s episode.

Here are the most important questions that need to be answered.

Where, and I cannot stress this enough, the f*ck is Nick?

Nick, Nick, Nick. This man has been noticeably absent since episode 6 when he went off to go fight in a war or some sh*t like that. Sure, we’re supposed to be mad at him because he’s more of a bad guy than we were all originally led to believe, but is there going to be any sort of resolution as to what’s going on with this character? Is Max Minghella just...not on the show anymore? The fans need to know.

What’s going to happen to baby Nichole?

As of right now, Nichole/Holly is still living with Luke and Moira, who did bring her to visit Serena Joy but got to bring her home after the fact. Now that Serena has successfully turned Fred in, are the powers that be going to let Serena get visitation? Is this going to be a partial custody deal? TBD.

Is anyone going to figure out that June killed Commander Winslow?

His wife thinks he’s just missing, but eventually someone’s going to have to find out he died, right? The body is gone, but there have to be receipts, right? That could be MAJOR trouble for June. I mean, she killed a dude.

Are Serena Joy and that one American guy gonna get it on?

JK JK, but also not JK. It would be a total flex for Serena to rebound from Fred with that dude of all people.

What’s going to happen to Fred?

Obviously, he’s still in jail somewhere in Canada and there seems to be some sort of punishment coming, the question is how severe. Like, are we looking at jail for life or execution? If he was in Gilead, we know how that’d end, just saying.

Is Commander Lawrence gonna figure out June let Mrs. Lawrence die?

June made a pretty bold choice to let Mrs. Lawrence overdose and kill herself when she very easily could have stepped in to help. She probably did it out of a fear that Mrs. Lawrence would mess up her plan to get children out of Gilead, but it was still messed up.

If Lawrence found out about that, he would probably be wayyyy less inclined to help June with her scheme.

What’s going on with Emily?

She was reunited with her family, which is amazing, but there’s no way that can be the end of her story, right? Especially after she got that taste of the protest life.
