Enamored, funny, sexy, and adorable are just a few words people would use to describe the Hollywood power couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Shy, for example, is definitely not an accurate descriptor for the bold couple.

The two, who have been married since 1996 and share three kids together (Michael Joseph, 25, Lola Grace, 21, and Joaquin Antonio, 20), prove time and time again how open they are with their fans. The somewhat TMI stories include everything from Ripa talking about recording Consuelos’ snoring, to their many sex life confessions, including their long-distance “sexual rituals.”

“I think we found each other at the right time in our lives,” Ripa told Andy Cohen about her and Consuelos’ sex life on Watch What Happens Live back in 2020, per Us Weekly. “We were really pliable to each other. We really learned each other well. With that comes a certain level of comfort and confidence and experimentation and just fun.”

So, in honor of Ripa and Consuelos’ 27th wedding anniversary, we’re looking back at all their unexpected sex confessions over the years. And, who knows, maybe we’ll learn a thing or two about keeping the spark alive!

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ripa and Consuelos, like many other couples, had to deal with long-distance. But, of course, that didn’t mean any less sexy time between the two of them.

“We had sexual rituals,” Ripa said in the first episode of her podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera. “They were so ludicrous over FaceTime. I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started rigging the computer to hang from a ladder. I hung the computer over a ladder so that I could look up to Mark and he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing. You get really close to yourself in situations when you’re separated from your husband for long periods of time.” Quite a visual, right?

In an interview with People last year, Ripa called their sex life “the one part of our life that has always been very good.” She continued, “Even when we’re arguing, it’s good.” Talk about keeping the spark alive!

On their youngest Joaquin’s 18th birthday, Consuelos posted a sweet tribute to his son and an adorable proud dad caption. Ripa, however, chose a very different vibe in her comment on the post. “You know what? Making him was so much fun,” she wrote along with five heart emojis. If you thought Joaquin’s mortified moment was over, think again. Consuelos jumped in with one more detail by responding to his wife’s comment, “#madeinmontreal.”

While in another appearance on WWHL with Andy Cohen, Ripa got candid about the places she and Consuelos have done the deed. After admitting the two had gotten intimate in a public bathroom, on a boat and in the All My Children set, she also revealed that they did it in Cohen’s house.

“It was a rental house,” she remembered, per E! Online. “I figured I wasn’t desecrating anything.”

Back in 2019, Consuelos guest co-hosted Live and shared with Ripa that their daughter Lola walked in on the two doing the deed on Father’s Day. “I just wanted to say, I was not in the mood. There was a house full of people,” Ripa said, totally regretting their decision. “I could tell you were going through the motions,” Consuelos added.

Lola, unsurprisingly, didn’t take it well either. “Thanks for ruining my birthday. And thanks for ruining my life. I used to see in color, and now everything is gray!” she said. We totally get it…

In 2017, Ripa talked about how Consuelos would sometimes be “mean” after they’d had some sexy time, per Us Weekly. “I think it’s bizarre,” she said. “He becomes short with me. You know what I mean? Like irritated. And I’m like, ‘Oh, now you’re irritated? You were so loving three minutes ago!'”

After the comments received some backlash, Ripa admitted she was joking and Consuelos clarified what actually happens. “I just wanted to set the record straight that no one can be mean after something if they are unconscious,” he said. “I sleep.”
