6 Foods At 7-Eleven To Avoid At All Costs
Convenience stores are great for cheap but tasty coffee and the seemingly endless supply of Hostess snacks. And sometimes a delicious combination of the two (looking at you, Twinkie cappuccinos). But they're definitely not a destination for quality eats. 7-Eleven, in particular, has served some pretty blasé, and sometimes even totally gross, foods over the years. Here's everything you should avoid.
1. Cheeseburger Bite
The brand markets this as "the taste of a cheeseburger in the convenience of a hot dog." I'm sorry, what? Why?! Please leave these two things separate.
2. French Toast Roller
Processed meat stuffed between a sad, syrup-soaked tortilla that's deep-fried and spins on the rotisserie until 5 p.m. No thanks.
3. Mini Tacos
Your first clue is that these things are four for $1. Any and all quality is out the window. They're essentially refried beans with a hint of meaty flavoring (probably artificial).
4. Burritos
One 10-ounce burrito can pack as many as 700 calories. Talk about a brick.
5. Buffalo Chicken Rollers
Again, anything with "roller" in the name sounds suspicious. Is this all real chicken or loaded with fillers?
6. Doritos Loaded
Red flag when you can't accurately describe a food. "A new snack, triangular in shape" is how 7-Eleven opened its description. Apparently it's also loaded with melted cheese and encrusted in Doritos Nacho Cheese crumbs and flavoring. Hard pass.
