6 Dunkin’ Drinks Customers Can’t Order Anymore

Dunkin’ lost its longtime Dunkaccino from the menu just a week ago, but it isn’t the only well-loved menu item the popular breakfast chain has pulled for good. As much as Dunkin’ loves to tease seasonal drinks and new menus (they just recently dropped Breakfast Tacos), there are many items that have come and gone over the years, leaving many fans understandably crushed with each discontinuation.

Here are six drinks the donut chain has said farewell to, gone indefinitely until further notice:

1. Girl Scout Cookie Coffees

The Girl Scouts bring America's young girls together to focus on friendship and character—and for the rest of us, have introduced us to their delicious fundraising cookies. We love to get our hands on 'em every year, supporting the local little troops outside of our grocery stores.

Dunkin' knew the power of those delicious cookies and debuted Girl Scout-inspired coffee drinks in 2018, featuring a Samoa-inspired Coconut Caramel coffee and a Thin Mint drink. They brought them back again in 2019 and then introduced bottled iced coffee versions in subsequent years, but we have yet to see the in-store drinks again.

2. Cookie Butter Cold Brew

During the holidays last year, Dunkin' debuted festive treats and a new drink: The Cookie Butter Cold Brew. With clear inspiration from a holiday bake-off, the cold brew featured notes of brown sugar and holiday spices like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, and was topped with cookie butter foam and cookie butter crumbles.

Fans wrote rave reviews online about this sweet cookie drink, with one even giving it a 10/10, but with the holidays long behind us, the drink can no longer be ordered. It's unclear if it will be brought back next holiday season, but fans surely wouldn't be sad to see it again.

3. Strawberry Popping Bubbles

During the summer of 2021, the coffee chain introduced its own version of boba, launching boba-inspired Popping Bubbles that could be added to any Dunkin' iced or frozen beverage. These strawberry-flavored bursts of syrup could be added to lemonades and Coconut Refreshers (another discontinued drink), but we haven't seen them since their debut. You might have to stick to a bubble tea shop for this one!

4. Oreo Coolatta

A mix of milkshake and the famous Oreo cookie, the Oreo Coolatta debuted in 2015 but was eventually removed and we have not seen it in six years. The dessert drink soared in popularity and often would sell out, as one former fan noted on Reddit. Dunkin' still sells Coolattas, so here's to hoping they revive the beloved Oreo drink once more.

5. Peanut Butter Cup Macchiato

For the past two years, Dunkin' has served a Peanut Butter Cup Macchiato during Halloween. Layered with espresso and the flavors of a peanut butter cup, the drink sent Reese's lovers running to Dunkin' to grab it each season. Customers could also add the PB swirl syrup to other drinks, like frozen drinks and hot coffees. Because Dunkin' considers this a festive release, it sadly departs menus when winter rings in. Here's to hoping we see it back this fall.

6. Dunkaccino

A longtime menu item, the Dunkaccino served customers an inventive hot-chocolate-coffee fusion drink for over twenty years. It became a bit of a legend, even becoming a meme with Al Pacino in an Adam Sandler movie in 2011, but slowly drifted to relic status as the years passed by. Some longtime orderers were sad to see it depart this year, but others forgot it still existed. It's gone for now, but as we know, Dunkin' often brings back beloved drinks so its revival feels inevitable.
