53-Year-Old Woman Credits Youthful Complexion to This One Product

If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it a hundred times: The sun is your skin’s worst enemy. Not only can it leave you with nasty sunburns that show up as spots and discoloration years later, but it can also change the texture of your skin, making it rough, dried out and leathery-looking. Every skin care expert on the planet will agree that there is only one way to safeguard your skin from the sun, and that’s with the daily use of sunscreen.

But for as much as we are told this tidbit of beauty information, there are still plenty of people out there who venture into the world day after day without a drop of sun protection on their skin. And, when you start to see the unwanted effects of the sun take hold on your skin, a lot of the damage is already done (although it can be reversed to some degree) and you wish you would have listened to what you’ve always been told.

On the other hand, there are those that credit their flawless skin to being a devote user of sunscreen day in and day out. Case in point: this 53-year-old woman, who says that sunscreen—Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55 ($11) to be exact—is the reason for her great skin.

We caught a glimpse of her on Reddit and we couldn’t agree more. In fact, her daughter (who posted the image) said her mother’s skin is the reason why she wears sunscreen every single day (she used to fight her mother on it because she hated how it felt, but it was pushed on her at an early age). Better to proceed with caution and protect your skin than deal with the aftermath years later.
