At 51, Sofia Vergara Wears Plunging Leather Corset Dress and Glasses and Fans Lose It

If you’re in need of reading glasses and a lesson in style, Sofia Vergara has you covered. In a recent Instagram post, the America’s Got Talent judge posed in a spicy leather corset dress and a pair of tortoise readers from her partnership with Foster Grant, surrounded by books.

The carousel of photos featured various shots that showed off the look from different angles. “Buy a reader, give a reader!” she captioned the post. “For every pair you purchase, a pair of reading glasses is donated to people in underserved communities around the world. #SeeBeautifully❤️.”

Fans and followers loved everything about the photos. “Beautiful 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” one person commented. “Wow 🔥🔥🔥,” another added. “I have two pairs of your frames! I Love them and you! 😍🤓💃🏼,” someone else wrote.

Vergara has worked with Foster Grant for years now. The partnership began when she noticed her eyesight changing. “By 42, my sight was bad,” she told The Zoe Report in 2020. “I had never in my life needed to wear glasses. So, for a long time, I was fighting it.” She added that she struggled to find a frame style she liked—so she created some.

“It’s better to wear your readers and own it, because [many of us] will need to wear glasses no matter what,” she said. “So, I decided that that was what I needed to do... create a line that would make women want to wear their glasses.”

Two years later, with the recent release of new frames and sunglasses, it’s safe to say she succeeded. And best of all, as Vergara’s caption mentioned, the collaboration has a philanthropic mission to donate a pair of glasses to someone living with uncorrected vision for every pair sold. “I love [being] at this point in my career, where I can team up with projects that are able to give back to the community and help someone,” she said. “Because, at the end of the day, glasses are not a luxury, they’re a necessity.”
