50 Cent has come forward with an apology to Megan Thee Stallion after sharing a meme about her being shot at a house party—which, to be clear, is not funny. At all.

50 shared a video of Megan opening up about the terrifying incident on Instagram Live, saying "Damn I didn’t think this shit was real🤦♂️ It sounded so crazy @theestallion i’m glad your feeling better and i hope you can accept my apology. I posted a meme that was floating around. I wouldn’t have done that if i knew you was really hurt sorry. 🤷🏽♂️ "

As a reminder: Megan attended the house party with Kylie Jenner and Tory Lanez on July 12, and later that night Tory was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his SUV. Meanwhile, reports emerged that Megan had cut her foot on glass and was taken to the hospital, which she refuted on Instagram, saying, "On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets."

She also made it clear that the jokes and memes about this traumatic incident are not funny, writing "Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized."

Unfortunately, people—including celebrities like Chrissy Teigen—are still making jokes about Megan, and she addressed them during her Instagram Live saying "it's not funny. It's nothing to joke about." Read her full comments:

"I was shot in both of my feet and I had to get surgery to get the sh*t taken out—to get the bullets taken out. It was super scary. Oh lord, I didn't think I was gonna cry. But yeah, I had to get surgery. It was super scary. It was just the worst experience of my life, and it's not funny. It's nothing to joke about. It was nothing for y'all to start going and making up fake stories about. I didn't put my hands on nobody. I didn't deserve to get shot. I didn't do shit. And thank god that the bullets didn't touch bones—they didn't break tendons. I know my momma, my daddy, my granny had to be looking out for me with that one because where the bullets hit at, it missed everything."

Lots of love to Megan as she recovers from this terrifying experience.
