5 Things Mama June's Done To Maintain Her 300-Pound Weight Loss

When Mama June (a.k.a. June Shannon, in real life) opened up to People last spring, she had grand ideas about how maintaining her 300-pound weight loss. Back then, Shannon was all about keeping up her diet and exercise, but she's since adopted a few more techniques. Some aren't exactly doctor recommended.

She sleeps in.

In what's probably her least healthy habit, Mama June admitted to People that she stays in bed until well after noon when she can in order to avoid eating breakfast.

She's big on portion control.

Mama June's biggest gripe is trying to eat like she's "supposed to" constantly. She cheats occasionally - Little Debbie jelly cakes are her favorite - but indulges in moderation. The same goes for regular meals: "It's all about portion control for me," Shannon told People.
