5 Things to Know About Tyler Cameron, "The Bachelorette" Runner-Up Who Is Reportedly Hanging Out With Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid has reportedly been spending a lot of time lately with Tyler Cameron, who stole the hearts of Bachelorette viewers after he made it to the final rose ceremony on Hannah Brown’s season earlier this summer. Dating rumors began swirling around the pair back in July, when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Gigi and Tyler followed one another on Instagram, and it didn’t take long before the two stars were spotted hanging out together in New York City.

Since their initial alleged date at the Soho/Dumbo House on August 4, Gigi and Tyler were seen together several times, with paparazzi catching the duo reportedly leaving Gigi’s New York apartment separately on one occasion. Most recently, Gigi and Tyler were photographed near Lake George, NY, with a fan sharing a snap of the two allegedly grabbing coffee at a Starbucks.

Neither Gigi nor Tyler have commented on the status of their relationship, so it's entirely possible that the two are just hanging out as friends. That said, the supermodel seems to be spending a lot of time with the former Bachelorette contestant, so it's understandable for fans to be a little curious about the guy who has captured her attention. Ahead, learn more about Tyler, his journey vying for love on television, and why the entire internet has seemingly fallen in love with him.

First, let’s talk about The Bachelorette.

Tyler quickly skyrocketed to fan favorite status during his appearance on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. From taking a stand against toxic masculinity to making viewers laugh with his live-tweets during the show, the 26-year-old from Jupiter, Florida became one of the frontrunners for the next Bachelor after he was rejected by Hannah in the finale.

Things got a little more complicated after the final episode; Hannah broke off her engagement with Bachelorette winner Jed Wyatt when it was revealed that he allegedly had a relationship prior to appearing on the series. Almost immediately after the finale aired, Hannah and Tyler were spotted together in Los Angeles, which was prior to Tyler's alleged first date with Gigi.

During an appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast, Hannah said that she and Tyler had been “keeping it casual,” adding: “He has every right to do whatever he wants because we were just, you know, hanging out, seeing where it goes. And I am completely fine with that.” But the 24-year-old also noted that Tyler’s involvement with Gigi was “confusing,” saying: “We hung out but we also had conversations of both, like, knowing that there's still something there.”

Got all that? Good. Now, let’s focus on some of those Instagrams.

In his official Bachelorette bio, Tyler was described as a “general contractor,” while noting that he also played football (he was even drafted by the Baltimore Ravens, but had to ultimately leave the sport due to a shoulder injury).

But a quick scroll through his IG feed will assure you that Tyler is also a male model; in fact, he’s currently repped by two different agencies: Soul Artist MGMT in New York and Next Model Management in Miami. What’s that? Pics or it didn’t happen? Glad you asked:

Tyler also has been linked to an Instagram influencer.

The 26-year-old has been keeping busy in this post-Bachelorette chapter. Instagram influencer Violet Benson recently revealed that she and Tyler grabbed lunch in L.A. around the same time he was hanging out with Hannah. “I felt kind of lied to even though I wasn't interested in him dating wise, I felt kind of lied to and I was confused,” Violet said on her podcast, Too Tired to Be Crazy.

However, she later clarified that their hangout was platonic, writing on her Instagram Stories: "Love when things get taken out of context and quote things you never said! Glad Tyler and I got to have lunch, AS FRIENDS. He's a great dude, nice friend and I wish him the best!!"

Since The Bachelorette, Tyler has been giving back.

The former contestant is now working with ABC Food Tours, an organization that helps young people in underserved NYC communities visit restaurants and venues that they otherwise wouldn't have access too. “We believe that by surrounding students with restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, & immigrant business owners who have all overcome similar hardships they can begin to envision these realities for themselves,” the organization states on their website.

So…is he going to be the next Bachelor?

It depends on who you ask. Entertainment Tonight reports that Tyler will be running in the TCS New York City Marathon in November, along with the Chicago Marathon in October (with both runs being in support of ABC Food Tours). As noted by ET, The Bachelor typically begins filming in September, with a duration of two months.

Earlier in August, Robert Mills, ABC's Senior Vice President of Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, told E! News that Tyler was certainly a fan-favorite, but also a bit of a “wild card" due to the dating rumors swirling around him post-show. “We listen to what people want to see,” Mills teased further.

In an interview with ET, Bachelor host Chris Harrison added: “If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight — which, by the way, good on him. That's fine. If that's what you want to do right now, I don't blame him. He's probably enjoying life really, really well — but that's not someone we're going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette.”

Welp! As with most things, we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any more Gigi/Tyler sightings to determine if she's the one who accepts his final rose after all.
