- Hey there. My name is Kennie, and I'm a corporate guy currently working in the fintech industry. And I'm also a career and lifestyle content creator on TikTok and on Instagram at the moment. And today, I'm going to be talking you about five important questions that I think you should ask in a job interview.

I think that it's so important that you go to a job interview prepared and that you've thought about some questions beforehand before you actually arrive at the interview. And you can actually ask questions that make you look good, and questions that let the interviewers know that you are the best fit for the job. So I have five questions, and we're going to go through them.

So the very first question that I love to ask is, what are some key things that someone in this role can do to make it a success in the first 6 to 12 months? I love that question, because it just shows that you are thinking ahead. You're being proactive and you actually care about succeeding in this role, and that you also care about their opinion.

And you want to know what they think about succeeding in this role. It just shows somebody that's eager to come in and make this a success. Top notch question, in my opinion. Another really strong question that I love to ask is, what plans and projects do you have coming up in the next year? Do you have any system implementations or any projects coming up that you think will be interesting for me to know?

And I think that question is so good, because it shows that you care about what they're doing at the moment. And you want to know how you can fit into that-- honestly, amazing question. So another great question to ask is, how did this role come about? And what made the person that was previously in the role good at the role?

So again, this shows that you care about succeeding in the role. And this question also shows that you're keen to learn from the strengths of the previous person in the role, which I think is just so good. It just makes you look, again, like somebody that wants to come in and put your best foot forward in this role.

So this next question is actually a favorite of mine. And I basically like to ask the interviewers what they think of the team that I'm going to be going into. So I like to ask, so what's your favorite thing about the team that I'll be going into? Like, what do you like about the team?

And again, I think this question demonstrates your eagerness and your keenness to go into that role and really fit in. You want to understand how you fit into the team, what they like about the team, what to expect within that team. And finally, I love to ask questions that demonstrate my commercial awareness about the business, about the company, about the industry in general.

So for example, during my research for the interview, I've come across a piece of news, right? And say, for example, I found out that the company recently went through a merger with another company. I would ask the question, by the way, I saw in the news that this company recently went through a merger with another company. What does that mean for the department? What does that mean for the company? What does that mean for the team.

So I love this question because it shows that you're aware of what's going on in the company and the industry and you're very much up to date. And it also shows that you want to know how you can apply that, or how that applies to your role, and how that can help you in your success within that role. So those are my top five questions, guys.

I hope you can use them in your upcoming interviews or any interviews that you've got coming up in the future. Thank you for watching this, and I hope to speak to you again soon. Bye bye.
