Todays marks the 154th birthday of the great Frank Lloyd Wright. And the architect certainly loved a good party in his day. He would famously gather together everyone in the Taliesin orbit (either at his home and studio in Spring Green, Wisconsin, or his winter outpost and school in Scottsdale, Arizona) and throw a fete that included cake, balloons, and gifts of poems, architectural drawings, and weavings. One year, the editors of House Beautiful turned up from New York—equipped with a magnum of Champagne.
