5 Famous Deal or No Deal Models Who Aren't Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle is kind of a big deal right now — you know, the whole royal thing and what not. But before she married a prince and had her wedding televised to the world, the soon-to-be mum had a successful career as an actress on the television drama Suits and, prior to that, she was even one of the famed “briefcase girls” on Deal or No Deal.

The show went off the air in 2016 but announced this past summer it would return to CNBC with host Howie Mandel and, naturally, some new faces holding those briefcases. Which might leave you wondering: Who else has been one of the models on the show, and what are they up to now?

Here you’ll find details on a few of them, including a name or two you’ll probably recognize (hint: one of them is married to John Legend).

Chrissy Teigen

That’s right: Before she had her own kitchen line at Target and got hitched to John Legend, Teigen was a briefcase girl between 2007 and 2008 — she even crossed paths with Markle, who appeared in 34 episodes between 2006 and 2007.

The Hungry For More author told The Daily Mail Markle was “lovely” to work with and added: “Now everyone asks me what she was like and I say, ‘Sorry, no dirt. She’s gorgeous.’”

Hayley Marie Norman

Norman appeared on the show for three years as briefcase model number 25. After leaving Deal Or No Deal in 2009, Norman went on to star in Hancock, Norbit, New Girl and Tales of Titans.

Leyla Milani

Prior to appearing on Deal Or No Deal, Milani had a career as a professional wrestling performer. She moved on to hold briefcase number 13 and was known as “Lucky Leyla” for the multiple times she was holding the top $1 million prize. After leaving the show, Milani started her own haircare line, Leyla Milani Hair.

Of her time shared with Markle on the game show, Milani told Inside Edition: “One day she's next to me getting fitted for a dress the next day a princess. She was always reading scripts.”

Laura Shields

After becoming Miss UK International, Shields accepted a role as briefcase model number 22 in 2006. But she only stayed for one season and eventually moved on entirely from Hollywood — to earn a masters degree in chemical engineering at Leeds University.

Claudia Jordan

A bit of a game show guru, Jordan arrived at Deal Or No Deal after having been a showcase model on The Price Is Right for three years. In 2005, she joined the show as briefcase model #1 and remained in that role for four years, later hosting the Miss Universe Pageant. Perhaps most notably, she even appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for a season.
