[There are spoilers ahead for the season 2 finale of Dead to Me. Save this post for another time if you haven’t finished S2!]

Since season 2 of Dead to Me dropped, the internet has not been able to shut up about the twists and turns of the new episodes. Another car crash! A body covered up and then uncovered! A cop who decides to save the day! There’s so much to unpack. There’s no news yet about a S3, but fans have theories nonetheless. Here are the best of the best.

Jen and Judy will have a Big Important Kids Conversation.

One user wrote on Reddit that Jen and Judy are going to have to have a major conversation about her kids. The user explained it this way: “Jen was literally about to let Judy be the legal guardian of her children. That was a huge step for multiple reasons. One, it was suddenly THRUST upon Judy, and the kids for that matter. And while I think Judy knew she could handle it, it was still an overwhelming roller coaster to finally be like, ‘I HAVE CHILDREN!’ and then Jen suddenly comes home.” The user continued by saying that the two of them are going to have to talk this out, and maybe Judy will end up as an official parent figure even though Jen came back.

My theory is that Jen will still have Judy become a legal guardian to her kids so that if anything happens to her, they still have someone. OR Judy will be so inspired by the whole thing that she’ll adopt a child of her own.

Charlie will confront his mom about the letters.

We don’t know what exactly Jen wrote in those letters for her sons, but when it comes to Charlie, it’s possible Jen was super honest about everything. That means that Charlie probably now knows Judy had a hand in his father’s death, which is mad awkward for that cute family dynamic they have going on right now. One user on Reddit thinks Charlie will eventually forgive Judy like Jen has, but that’s a big TBD.

Detective Perez will help cover up Steve’s murder/body.

A hiker found Steve’s body at the end of the last episode, and it’s easy to assume that Ben was on his way to the police station or something when he crashed into Judy and Jen. Now that there’s a body, the whole “Detective Perez letting Jen off the hook” thing gets a little more complicated. But the thing is, if she arrests Jen now, Jen could turn on her and say she let her go in the first place. I think Perez will have to help Jen and Judy cover the whole thing up now, just to save herself.

Ben and Jen will officially get together.

This theory comes from Reddit, and it’s admittedly a little out there, but lots of fans think that now that Ben has hit Jen and Judy, somehow he’s now even with Jen for killing his brother. This is how one person put it, “Things really came full circle. In some twisted way, it’s kind of like Ben (unknowingly) getting revenge on Jen for killing Steve.” And another person wrote, “Now I feel like Jen will be ready to be with him in the next season because justice has sort of been served. He got her back. Now she can even the score in her mind and let herself love him.”

Um, you people are crazy! But in all fairness, this show is bonkers, so like...maybe it’ll happen. I did ship them for a hot second.

Neighbor Karen will trademark orange wine and become a millionaire.

JK, that’s not a real theory. Unless...?
