The 5 Coolest Shiny Pokémon To Ever Exist In The Anime
1.Shane's Psyduck
In the 14th episode of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, we're introduced to shiny Pokémon-obsessed trainer Shane Seeker. After he catches his first ever Psyduck, he embarks on a journey so wild only a shiny hunter could appreciate it: completing his Pokédex with solely shiny Pokémon. The rarity of these Pocket Monsters spawning in the wild makes the endeavor all the more admirable. We're still rooting for ya, Shane!
2.Goh's Voltorb
This explosive ball sports a cool royal blue-colored dome instead of his classic red top when found in his shiny form. Voltorb appeared in the episode titled "Mad About Blue," where Ash's good friend Goh caught the shiny Pokémon. It was Goh's first ever shiny Pokémon, and it was only fitting since Ash also has one of his own.
3.Ash's Noctowl
Ash was the very first character in the animated series to catch a shiny Pokémon, and it was none other than Noctowl. First appearing in the episode titled "Fowl Play!", this Pokémon was the first fully evolved one Ash caught. Talk about doubly lucky!
4.Lake of Rage Gyarados
Red Gyarados: one of the most revered and recognizable shiny Pokémon in the history of the franchise. First encountered in the Lake of Rage in the Kanto region, shiny Gyarados appeared in the anime in episode 235 titled "Talkin' 'Bout an Evolution." Team Rocket was responsible for abusing Pokémon and manipulating their evolution, thus leading to the creation of Red Gyarados.
5.And Legendary Beasts
The Legendary Beasts of the Johto region made their shiny appearance in the animated movie Zoroark: Master of Illusions. The guardians of Crown City, a Sinnoh region locale, are fierce as they are majestic. The three Pokémon are highly sought after for their rarity and the amount of time it takes to obtain them in-game. However, Entei truly reigns supreme (for me, at least).
