5 Coachella Valley restaurants made OpenTable's Top 100 in U.S. for outdoor dining list
Local restaurant connoisseurs and food enthusiasts alike will be ecstatic to find five Coachella Valley restaurants ranking among the top 100 outdoor dining destinations on OpenTable's annual list.
Online restaurant and reservation service OpenTable just released its annual report of the 100 Most Popular Restaurants for Outdoor Dinning in America. Spanning 20 states, California takes the top spot on the list with a total of 31 restaurants listed, five of which can be found right here in the desert. The list provides both valley residents and tourists a guide for indulging in some of the finest dinning locations the area has to offer.
Curated by analyzing over 13 million OpenTable diner reviews from across the country, this list focuses not only on high-quality cuisine but picturesque settings and incredible outdoor experiences.
Although released during the summer season, OpenTable's data suggests restaurantgoers have continued to embrace outdoor dining as early as January of this year, with an increased demand of 20% in May and a 19% in the first half of June as compared to 2022. These trends illustrate the ever-present popularity of al fresco dining throughout the country.

"Outdoor dining is up 19% YoY for June (1 – 15), a strong start to the season," said Susan Lee, chief growth officer of OpenTable in a press release. "With many restaurants elevating outdoor dining spaces for summer and beyond, this list represents dining destinations with incredible outdoor — and culinary — offerings."
