5 Best Romcoms Currently Streaming on Netflix

We all love to cosy up with a rom-com, but with so much out there, a night wanting to laugh until we cry or vice versa can end up in a scrolling spree that goes nowhere.

So, to save you some time, here are five of the best romcoms currently streaming on Netflix, including a mix of classics and newer releases, depending on what you're after.

<p>Sony Pictures Entertainment</p><p>Jennifer Lawrence stars opposite Andrew Barth Feldman in this raunchy comedy about Maddie, who is about to lose her home. She stumbles across a job listing from parents looking for someone to "date" their 19-year-old son before he heads off to college. It's ridiculous, wild, funny and reminiscent of comedies we don't see much of nowadays. Beyond the laughs, there's also a beautiful vulnerability running through it and an acoustic performance of "<em>Maneater</em>" by Barth Feldman. </p>
<p>DreamWorks</p><p>Based on Shakespeare's <em>Twelfth Night</em>, <em>She's the Man</em> stars Amanda Bynes. Viola's a soccer player who disguises herself as her twin brother, Sebastian, to trick his elite boarding school into believing he's still attending classes while he's away pursuing his music career. Channing Tatum is Duke, the school's star soccer player and Viola, as Sebastian, begins to help him overcome his trouble with girls.</p>

<p>Sony</p><p><em>13 Going on 30 </em>is a throwback to the romcom golden age of beautiful women in New York City who are at the top of their game career-wise but searching for that missing piece. Jennifer Garner plays Jenna Rink, who makes a wish on her 13th birthday to be "30, flirty and thriving". Next thing she knows, she's waking up in the Big Apple with a job at her favorite magazine and no clue what happened. Her childhood best friend, Matt, helps her remember, and the two rekindle their friendship. </p>
<p>The Weinstein Company / United International Pictures</p><p>An unconventional romcom erring closer to the dark comedy side, <em>Silver Linings Playbook</em> is an adaptation of Matthew Quick's novel of the same name. It has an all-star cast including Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, Anupam Kher, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham, Julia Stiles and Jennifer Lawrence, who won the Oscar for her role of Tiffany. It follows former teacher Pat Solitano, who moves back in with his parents after spending time in a mental institution. He is desperate to reconcile with his wife, who has placed a restraining order on him, and strikes up a friendship with Tiffany, a woman dealing with her own issues.</p>
