The £46 body cream Victoria Beckham swears by
Victoria Beckham is an endless source of inspiration in both the world of fashion and beauty. The mum of four is always impeccably turned out despite juggling motherhood, designer, fashion mogul, wife and beauty muse.
Dating back to her days as Posh Spice, she's always had her own unique beauty style and her repertoire of era-defining hairstyles made way for her current, albeit more sophisticated, beauty status she now holds.
Whilst Beckham is more famously known for her fashion designs, the star has made her mark in the beauty industry over the years, launching two ranges with leading make-up brand Estee Lauder, a You-Tube channel (launching later this year) and her Instagram feed has become quite the destination for product inspiration.
Posting regularly, an insight into her daily regime of what products she uses, Beckham has revealed her love for niche luxury brands such as Augustinus Bader and Dr Barbara Sturm resulting in cult products completely selling out.
Earlier this week she shared her love of French skincare brand CODAGE and its hero Hydration Intense Body Milk, £46, Effortless Skin.
While deciding between an oil or cream consistency, Beckham espoused the benefits on Instagram of the hero body milk and explained, “what I like about this is, when you put it on your skin - and you’ve got slightly damp skin - it makes your skin feel quite incredible”.
Body moisturiser should be applied as regularly as you do your skincare - or at least once a day post shower. Even if the weather’s not playing ball, you still want to maintain your skin's quality.
The Australian brand Frank Body has an excellent range of coffee-based body scrubs that contain a mix of ground beans, sea salt and almond oil. It’s claimed that the high caffeine content helps to improve cellulite, stretch marks and scarring – it’s not brilliant for cellulite (there’s really not much any product can do to get rid of it- except maybe a body brush) but it does help the skin feel firmer and stronger. Use it a couple of times a week and you’ll notice the difference. Word of warning: it gets messy, so be ready to scrub your shower afterwards.
The Exfo-lite sachets by Legology, a scrub/oil mix are really nourishing and helps improves circulation in your legs, making them feel lighter and firmer.
Another body hero is Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil – it’s the original and best firming body oil. Used daily after showering, this non-greasy product will help to tone and condition the skin beyond recognition ready for summer.
A close contender is The Activist Body Oil by Mio, which vastly improves the look of the skin on the legs. It smells pretty delicious, too.
