44-0 Undefeated Kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa Announces Professional Boxing Debut

Retiring from the sport of kickboxing last year and revealing a transition to boxing after his bout against Takeru Segawa at THE MATCH 2022, Tenshin Nasukawa recently announced his professional boxing debut. The 44-0 undefeated fighter attended the press conference for "Prime Video Presents Live Boxing," the major combat sports event set to take place at Ariaka Arena in Tokyo, Japan April 8, 2023.

It was announced that Tenshin Nasukawa will be making his professional boxing debut in the Super Bantamweight division against Yuki Yonaha, the Japanese Boxing Commission's fourth-ranked Bantamweight. The matchup will be a six-round fight and headling the upcoming Amazon Prime Video event and broadcast.

The announcement comes after Nasukawa undertook his professional boxing license examination February 9, 2023. The Japanese Boxing Commission held a solo examination for Nasukawa with nearly and hundred spectators and press in attendance at the venue. The former undefeated kickboxer made the Featherweight limit of 58 kilograms (126 lbs), scored 97/100 on the written test, satisfied the physical examination, and performed in a three-round sparring session against Japanese Bantamweight title challenger Jin Minamide.

Other fights on the Prime Video Presents Live Boxing card include Kenshiro Teraji (Japan) vs. Jonathan González (Puerto Rico) for the Unified WBC, WBA, and WBO World Light Flyweight Championship, Takuma Inoue (Japan) vs. Liborio Solis (Venezuela) for the WBA World Bantamweight Championship, IBF World Featherweight challenger bout between Kiko Martinez (Spain) and Reiya Abe (Japan), and a Welterweight bout between Keita Obara (Japan) and Jin Sasaki (Japan).

Kenshiro Teraji (Japan) vs. Jonathan González (Puerto Rico) for the Unified WBC, WBA, and WBO World Light Flyweight Championship match, and Takuma Inoue (Japan) vs. Liborio Solis (Venezuela) for the WBA World Bantamweight Championship—five hyped fights, including a world title match, will be live streamed, as the fourth installment of Prime Video Presents Live Boxing.
