The 43 Best Shoes From Milan Fashion Week Fall 2023

Some are kind of weird, and we're into it.

Thanks to the pandemic and the rise of all things comfortable, sneakers have been reigning in footwear for quite some time — but perhaps they're about to be dethroned? At Milan Fashion Week, we're seeing the revival of stilettos, heeled boots, chunky clog silhouettes and some generally weird-looking shoes for Fall 2023.

Roberto Cavalli showed brown pumps, embellished with emeralds, that give wearers at least six inches of a boost and, with the many other exaggerated heels we spotted on the runway and at presentations, herald the return to extreme footwear — think: pencil-thin stilettos or towering kicks that put ankle strength to the test. Del Core's booties are made with a heel that looks like it was taken straight from Captain Hook, while Salvatore Vignola proposes platform mules made with what appeared similar to poodle hair.
