At 40, Anne Hathaway's Mega-Chiseled Legs In A High-Slit Dress Are Everything

Anne Hathaway's latest red carpet look is truly the stuff of every little girl's dreams. This week, the Princess Diaries actress, 40, hit up a screening for her new film, She Came To Me, in New York City, and her outfit did not disappoint.

In pics from the event, Anne was dressed in a pink, strapless, sequined, Attico midi gown that included a very high slit. And obviously, it was hard to miss how epically toned her legs and arms are in the snaps.

Curious to know more about Annie's workout routine? Well, the first thing you should know is that yoga has definitely been a big part of her wellness routines, keeping her toned and flexible. In fact, the actress talked to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show about her preparation for her role as Rebekah Neumann on AppleTV's WeCrashed, and said she got "really getting into yoga" with instructor Nikki Baksh.

Anne added that she also switched up her diet for the role. “I don’t really go as immersive as I did before I had kids,” she added. “Rebekah is a very passionate vegan. I was a raw vegan.” Anne went on to say that after a few weeks after filming, she told her husband, "I need a burger."

For WeCrashed, Anne enlisted another trainer, Don Saladino, who told The Chalkboard that rather than focus on cardio, they worked on strength training, utilizing equipment like dumbbells and an air bike for "hypertrophic" workouts. This involves "low to intermediate repetitions [of exercises] with progressive overload," which basically means that repeated stress, with increased volume, and recovery builds more muscle over time.

This, he said, helped Anne "optimize everyday stability, mobility and functional movement." Plus, Saladino also had Anne use an air bike for "short bursts of medium intensity" cardio, as well.

BTW, Anne isn't afraid of lifting weights, stating in an IG caption under a workout video that she gained muscle weight for a role, and felt dang good about it:

Ramona Braganza, another trainer that Anne has worked with in the past, told Women's Health UK that she was a fan of morning workouts, and would fit in hour-long sessions before big events. "Each week of workouts with Anne ahead of the Oscars would include five days of 1-hour workouts in the morning."

Outside of they gym, Anne is also a fan of taking walks in nature.

And while Anne pushes herself for her movie roles, she knows her body needs rest. “Rest days are so important,” Braganza added. “When we trained for Anne’s two films, we made sure she took at least one day a week off for recovery.”
