  • Alicia Keys, 40, has been the queen of the no-makeup look for several years now—choosing to focus on skincare and fitness instead.

  • And it's evident that the award-winning singer and songwriter is doing everything right: Alicia looks positively radiant in a new Instagram video.

  • Alicia says that her super simple skincare routine (and drinking lots of water) give her that dewy glow.

Alicia Keys, 40, has been the queen of the no-makeup look for years now, and she just dropped a new video on Instagram that shows why she has zero issues going barefaced.

The 15-time Grammy winner is singing a cappella in the video, but plenty of people were obsessed with her glowy, dewy skin. “We can’t get enough of your glow! ✨💫💜,” wrote the Keys Soulcare account. “😍😍😍😍 Gorgeous inside and out!” another person said.

ICYMI: In 2016, Alicia shared with Glamour UK that she gave up on using makeup after she felt like she was addicted to it.

“Makeup was a big thing for me; I had been wearing it since I was, like, 16 years old,” she said. “And then, as I got into the music world, it was what you did every day to do your television, or to do your shoot. So, I did it because I thought that’s what you’re supposed to do. And I realized I became addicted to it; I didn’t feel comfortable without it.”

Alicia made it clear that she wasn’t giving up on cosmetics forever: "I love makeup! I love my lip gloss, I love my blush, I love my eyeliner. It's not about that," she said. "At the same time, I don't want to feel beholden to have to do it."

So, she mostly goes around bare-faced now, showing off that amazing skin. Of course, the singer didn’t get that gorgeous glow by accident. She previously told Women’s Health that she’s big on drinking lots of H2O. "Water—it’s a secret, it sounds so simple," she said. “It is important.” (She likes to sip hers out of a mason jar with a metal straw, BTW.)

She also likes to use an obsidian roller to calm her skin down. “It's wonderful for congested or congestion-prone skin, which I do have, and many of us do have,” she said. “It can relax the facial and muscle tension and reduces the appearance of puffiness.”

Alicia is big on keeping her skin nice and clean. That includes using facial wipes at the end of the day or hot water and a washcloth. She follows that up with the “really strong” Osmosis Beauty Deep Clean Detox Cleanser and Keys Soulcare Golden Cleanser. “I love it. Love it, love it,” she said. “It purifies...it smells amazing. It's light, but beautiful.”

After that, she reaches for a toner. And when zits rear up, she’ll dab The Advanced Blemish Lotion with Sulfur over breakouts. From there, it’s time to move on to moisturizing. Alicia uses a moisturizer from Epicuren and Rosebud Salve lip balm—and she said she’s used both for ages.

Alicia likes to wrap things up with a mask. Her go-to: The Harmony Mask, which is infused with Manuka honey and sandalwood. “I come down the stairs or I come out of my bedroom and I'm wearing this mask on my face and my whole face is beautiful with this kind of like brown-greenish magic. It feels incredible,” she said. “It detoxifies, it balances, it's nourishing the skin.”

That glow, though.
