Shortbread Butter Bars

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Servings: 8-10

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • 1 pinch salt

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF degrees and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.

  • Place butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave until melted, about 1-2 minutes.

  • Pour the melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  • Press into the bottom of your baking dish and bake for 30 minutes until outside is golden and the inside is still soft.
     

  • Cut into squares and enjoy.
