4 Clear Signs That Cats Trust Their Owners

Here's what to look out for.

Dogs can try to act as stoic as they like, but their wagging tails always give them away. Cats, though, don't have telltale signs of their emotions. Instead, it's up to us--cat owners and feline fanatics--to decipher their actions and what they could possibly mean.

For those of us who are still learning, convenient resources like @happypets.show's popular TikTok video are here to help. The clip shows 4 clear signs that cats trust a person, and they're all oh-so-sweet.

Aww! These are so sweet! It must be a magical experience to hand-feed a cat who trusts you. It seems like a wonderful way to bond while bringing a little joy to both of your days. What kitty wouldn't want a treat?

"My kitten likes to be spoon-fed," shared @kiyoomigirl. "Yeah, I think he trusts me." It sure sounds like it! A cat has to allow themselves to be vulnerable in order to let someone feed them, so it should feel like an honor when a cat allows you to feed them.

Or when your cat rubs itself on you! @Nadieyahuda wrote, "my cat nibbles and then gets excited. Long story short we now have deep scars on our hands." Oh no! We suppose love looks a bit different to every person (and feline), but at least it takes the insult out of injury to know it's a sign of affection.

"My cat shows his belly, but doesn't like his belly rubbed," @asian_gym_bro said. It's a start, though, right? It definitely sounds like a sign of trust if a cat shows his tummy even though he doesn't like tummy rubs. Like we said--every feline will show their feelings differently!
