F&W Best New Chef 2017 Jay Blackinton, of Hogstone’s Wood Oven on Orcas Island, Washington, takes just a few humble ingredients and turns them into a magical dish. Case in point: this “green” egg, which is soft-boiled and dusted in dried kale, then served on creamy arugula-laced goat cheese and surrounded by crispy grilled kale. It looks like a nest—and tastes like heaven.
mark: Working voters......at least 16% of people who voted for Obama switched it up and voted for Trump. Why the shift? I suspect the incumbent party seemed dull after 8 years. Different reasons for different people. Will that 16% vote against Trump after 4 years? it will be an interesting election. In the last 30 years or so we hear buzzwords like soccer mom or security mom swaying the outcome of major elections....this cycle seems to be the "working voter" turn to get the medias attention. I'm looking forward to 2020 as it will be exciting and surely dramatic.
