This $30 Million Oceanfront Home in Miami Beach Has More Outdoor Space Than a Condo

One of the six four-story beachfront villas along 540 feet of prime ocean frontage at The Bath Club complex in Miami Beach has sashayed onto the market with a $29.9 million price tag. Bespoke Real Estate holds the listing.

Tax records show the 6,100-square-foot spread, which has another 1,800 square feet of private terraces, was built in 2004 and last changed hands just two years ago for $8.5 million. It has since been comprehensively renovated and immaculately appointed in a minimalist style that provides tailored comfort and rarefied craftsmanship. The residence is now being offered turnkey with all its furnishings. Set atop a private, two-car subterranean garage, the home offers four bedrooms, each with a private bath. There are also a couple of powder rooms.

The six villas have a front-row seat with direct beach and boardwalk access.

Beyond the Mediterranean exterior, there’s a private, four-stop commercial-sized elevator and a double-height foyer with an architectural, glass-railed staircase that ascends to the upper two floors. A more sinuous, separate staircase spirals down to the lower-level garage and laundry room. Materials throughout include several kinds of marble, custom LED lighting, and Linum-stained oak floorboards.

Visitors are confronted with a head-on view of the ocean from the front door, and in the living room, low-slung furnishings and a pale palette of whites, putties, and muted blues make the turquoise view over the Atlantic Ocean the dazzling star of the show. Bright white walls are free of fussy moldings and ideal for displaying artwork, while built-ins house massive pocket doors to close off full-height openings to the den and the kitchen.

At one end of the open-plan kitchen, the formal dining room opens to a small patio enveloped in lush tropical plantings, and at the other, a casual dining spot spills out to an ocean-facing terrace. The main floor is completed by a powder room and a guest suite with a walk-in closet. One floor up, there are two additional ensuite guest bedrooms, one of them with two sets of built-in bunk beds, and the ocean-facing primary suite.

The villa’s neutral palette allows the ocean view to take precedent.

The top floor is a versatile space suitable as an office, gym, or lounge (or some combination thereof) with tons of sleek built-ins, a convenient powder room, and glass doors to a terrace with unobstructed views over the ocean and up and down the beach.

Back downstairs, the living room, kitchen, and den are each open to a stone terrace and a heated swimming pool. Two sets of steps curve down from the pool to a huge communal lawn and secure access to the Miami Beach Boardwalk and the beach.

Monthly homeowner fees run about $8,600 a month, according to marketing materials, and cover, among other things, cable TV, hot water, parking, and pest control. Amenities at The Bath Club include a pool and spa, tennis courts, a clubhouse, and a beach cabana.
