Shine Bright Like a Diamond: 3 Ways To Wear Metallics

Christmas is mere days away and New Year’s Eve is on the horizon, has there been a better time to shine? We think not. Here, stylist Chris Kim shows you how easy it is to do, too, just by incorporating a few key metallic pieces to your wardrobe.

The good news is that wearing metallics is easy for everyone, it’s just about your level of commitment. If you’re wanting to jazz up your day look, we recommend pairing your glittery “hero” piece (be it gold lamé pants or a skirt) with more neutral numbers like a black sweater or a camel coat to strike the perfect sartorial balance. Looking for something a bit more daring? A sparkling slip dress will do. Pair it with a blazer for a more uptown look. Be mindful of not overdoing it by keeping accessories to a minimum. ‘Tis the season to sparkle, but you don’t want to be confused with the decorations.
