3 New Utz Snacks Are Hitting Shelves Soon

If you’re like us, the snack aisle can be a pretty dangerous place. With so many options to choose from and new products launching what feels like every day, it’s getting more difficult to pick just one or two bags of chips, pretzels, and popcorn. So, we say, why choose? We’d like to try them all, please.

However, in a snacking world that’s already pretty saturated, how can you stand out with new product releases? Well, do what Utz is doing: Create never-before-seen products.

The snack brand is no stranger to the spotlight; between its potato chips with Grillo’s and its partnership with Heluva Good!, Utz is constantly going viral. But, one of its biggest success stories came from a sweet and spicy potato chip launched last year.

In 2023, Utz led the charge by getting on board with the “swicy” trend before it was really even trending. Utz teamed up with Mike’s Hot Honey to release the first-ever Hot Honey Potato Chips, which other brands are only now catching up with (cough, cough Lay’s).

While some brands are just rolling out their first hot honey products, Utz is already on to its next one. And this time, it's taking the sweet-heat flavor to pretzels.

Utz Introduces New Mixed Minis Pretzels

Utz is launching a new, first-of-its-kind snack in three flavors this month.

The new Mixed Minis Pretzels are unlike anything we’ve seen from Utz—or any other brand. Each bag includes a mix of three different shapes, including twists, rings, and waffles, so you can enjoy all your favorite styles of pretzels in one place. Think of it as a snack mix, but with only pretzels.

Not only are the pretzel shapes unique, but the flavors are, too. In fact, besides its Butter Waffles Pretzels, Utz doesn’t really sell many flavored pretzels at all. So, the Sea Salt, Garlic Butter, and Hot Honey Mixed Minis are a delicious, welcomed addition.

The Sea Salt Mixed Minis are simply traditional salted pretzels, but the other two varieties pack a flavorful punch.

Garlic Butter is exactly what it sounds like: a pretzel generously seasoned with garlic and butter. If you like the Butter Waffles Pretzels, and also like garlic, we have a feeling these might be your new go-to.

Finally, the Mike’s Hot Honey Pretzels bring everything you know from Utz’s sweet and spicy potato chip to the brand’s beloved pretzels.

Utz’s new Mixed Minis Pretzels will be available in 4- and 12-ounce bags at retailers nationwide and online via Utz’s site.

If the Mike's Hot Honey potato chip launch taught us anything, it's that we need to stock up on a few bags of pretzels the moment we see them because one bag will barely make it past the checkout aisle.
