There’s no doubt Trader Joe’s has some of the best snacks in the grocery game. From Elote Corn Chip Dippers to Spicy Tempura Seaweed and Crispy Crunchy Mini Mochi Rice Nuggets, the grocer has all kinds of tastes covered. But the best part about Trader Joe’s is the abundance of new choices that continue to roll out all year round — the latest playing into a nostalgic snack from your childhood.

Discovered by Instagram account, @traderjoesnew, the grocer is set to release Peanut Butter Joe’s Os Cereal Bars. You probably recall eating the sugary cereal versions as a child like Cocoa Puffs and Froot Loops, but now you can enjoy a classic Trader Joe’s cereal in bar form (and it’s totally acceptable as an adult).

The bar combines the classic Joe’s Os with roasted peanuts and lighting salted peanut butter, which is then topped with a drizzle of peanut-flavored coating. Your crunchy, chewy, salty, and sweet cravings will be satisfied in just a few bites. The grocer suggests bringing on commutes to work, enjoying as an afternoon pick-me-up, or munching on as an early evening snack. The Instagram account @traderjoesaficionado gave her review of the bars, saying: “Love a good cereal bar to throw in my bad for hiking or a snack at work. These are a bit sweet but very good. Highly recommend!”

“As the adage goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” Trader Joe’s writes on their website. “With Trader Joe’s Joe’s Os Peanut Cereal Bars on the scene, perhaps it’s time for an update to that old saw: How about, ‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it also makes one of the most satisfying snacks of the day, too.’ Too wordy? Probably — we’re in the grocery business, not the adage business, after all.”

Some commenters on the Instagrammer’s post were concerned about the long list of ingredients, but like most snacks, this is best considered a treat to enjoy in moderation rather than a health food. If you’re looking to try it, you can spot these in your local Trader Joe’s for $2.99 per box.
