Okavango Delta, Botswana

For their very first vacation together, Harry and Meghan went camping (yes, in a real tent) in the wilderness of this gorgeous southern Africa country. They reportedly stayed at the luxurious Meno a Kwena camp, so they didn’t exactly have to sleep on the ground to experience the untamed beauty of the rugged bush. The royals also took a safari, rode boats along the Boteti River and took in the beauty of glittering sunsets and wild game (lions, rhinos and zebras, oh my!) on the lush Okavango Delta.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

You, too, can travel like the royals, who reportedly flew economy (Harry and Meghan: They’re just like us!) to the French Riviera to ring in 2018 in style. Once in the tiny-yet-glamorous coastal city, dubbed the “billionaires’ playground” for its lavish casinos and gorgeous yachts docked in the Mediterranean harbor, the two stayed at a private residence. Excuse us while we furiously research Airbnbs in Monte Carlo.

Tromvik, Norway

Looking for a more low-key excursion? The royal couple traveled to Norway in January of last year to see the northern lights via the tiny town of Tromvik, known for its whale watching and lack of touristy shops and restaurants (aka locals only). The couple reportedly bunked up in a private cabin near Tromvik Lodge, which offers breathtaking views of the ice-covered sea and bright turquoise fjords.
