This $28 Taco Bell Order Is Going Viral For All The Wrong Reasons

All it takes is a quick trip to the grocery store or your favorite fast food spot to see that inflation is quite real, but spending $28 at Taco Bell? You're clearly not playing the game right.

Fox Business contributor Scott Martin has gone viral for just that reason, spending $28 on an order for one person at Taco Bell. "You wanna know how bad inflation is? Yesterday, yes, I had a nice lunch at Taco Bell. Cost me about $28 at Taco Bell for lunch," he shared during the segment.

Martin, who has probably never heard of a combo meal, attempted to offer some clarity on his pricey order by providing an order summary. He subsequently dug himself a bigger hole with the budget-shredding order. It included a Burrito Supreme for $6.09, a Nachos Bell Grande for $7.14, a large Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze for $3.79, a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme for $3.19, and a Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch for $5.19. That's a grand total of $25.40, not including tax. Many on social media questioned why Martin didn't opt for a Cravings Box or even a combo.

If you've got $28 to spare on some grub at Taco Bell, we'd like to offer our suggestions on how you can get the most for your money. Also, sharing is highly suggested.

Loaded TRUFF Nacho Fries ($4.49) - I mean, if we've got $28 to spend we're definitely splurging on Nacho Fries.

Mexican Pizza Combo ($9.49) - You won't catch us making the same mistake as Martin. Combo, pls.

Quesarito ($4.09) - We couldn't choose between a quesadilla or a burrito, so rather than purchase both, we chose to take on inflation head-on with a Quesarito.

2 Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos ($2.29 each) - For the iconic Doritos Locos Tacos, we had to throw in two.

Cinnabon Delights 2 Pack ($1.69) - Despite ordering days' worth of calories, there's always room for dessert!

Without tax our grand total is $24.34. Pretty impressive, if you ask us. Do you think you can top our $28 Taco Bell order?
