This New 269-Foot Superyacht Comes With Its Own Pizza Oven and Outdoor Cinema

Another day, another massive Lürssen setting sail.

The German shipyard launched a new 269-footer from the Rendsburg facility on Thursday, after rolling out a 295-footer in April, a 375-footer in March, and another 295-footer in February.

Hull 13775, a.k.a. Project Cali, has been almost exactly three years in the making. Her keel was laid in September 2020, but Lürssen has divulged very little about the vessel up until this point.

Penned by the yard’s in-house exterior designer, Jim Robert Sluijter, Cali showcases a sleek steel hull, a lightweight aluminum superstructure, and a distinctive reverse bow. She also sports the elegant lines that are synonymous with Lürssen.

With an impressive beam of 41 feet, Cali offers a generous amount of living space onboard, too. Her interiors were brought to life by RWD, but we are yet to see the fruits of the British firm’s labor. The exterior decks are reportedly stacked with amenities, though.

Lürssen says the tri-deck cruiser was designed for a family that loves outdoor activities. It is not exactly surprising, then, that the exterior decks are brimming with cool features. The beach club on the lower deck, for instance, sports large terraces on either side that can expand to create more space for the family. Further aft, a sizable swim platform provides quick and easy access to the sea.

But the real showpiece is the sun deck. The sprawling space, which is nearly 100 feet long, will offer panoramic views of the surrounding seas. It is also equipped with a Jacuzzi, a lounge, an outdoor cinema, and a bar. To top it off, the deck sports a dining area with a barbecue and pizza oven for gourmands.

Cali is now heading into the next stage of construction, with delivery scheduled for early next year. Let’s see if the German yard pulls off as many launches in 2024, then.
