Located in Lawrence, Kansas, sits a pretty small and underdeveloped skatepark; the Centennial Skatepark. But the community of Lawrence, KS, will be pleased to find out that the town has begun construction, with a budget of $250,000.

The bigger budget will allow for a pretty stellar addition to the park, and to be frank, it really could use it! Check out the area of expansion on the map below, courtesy of the city of Lawrence.

The construction is contracted through Evergreen Skateparks, a company that builds concrete skateparks all over the nation. The addition will be a street-styled plaza, but preliminary designs have not been made public quite yet so there is no telling exactly what will come.
