From Men's Health

  • Disney+'s first MCU series, WandaVision, is both popular and has a lot of twists. You know what that means—a lot of memes.

  • From MCU references to relatable humor, there's a lot that works here.

  • We're tracking the funniest WandaVision memes we can find, and there's going to be a lot more where these came from.

There's no doubt about it: WandaVision is one of the first great new shows of 2021. While MCU stuff surely isn't for everybody, anyone who found the superheroes-within-a-sitcom premise of the show's first few episodes interesting has also gotten further explanation and background in the succeeding episodes. And now, as the show marches toward its 9th and final episode, fans are left wondering how they could possibly bide the time until we finally see how it all turns out. And there's one real answer: memes.

Because let's be real: ever since the Disney+ series launched, it's started to feel like all the time spent not watching WandaVision is time spent waiting to watch WandaVision. From one week to the next, we cannot wait to see what happens with Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), and we certainly can't wait to hear the next extremely catchy theme song or see what kind of easter egg gets dropped into the next meta-commercial.

And since its 2021, you know what that means: the memes are going to come, and they're going to come in droves. With each new WandaVision revelation, that's more fuel for the brilliant minds of the internet to bring us some great stuff to laugh at and bide the time until the next chapter of the MCU mystery.

So, below we've wrangled together some of the best WandaVision-adjacent memes we've seen recently. The show is ongoing, obviously, so we'll be adding to this list as Marvel puts more fuel in the collective fire. But for now, here's what we've got:

Episode 8, titled "Previously On," was an emotional one.

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

In fact, for the first time, the end of the episode saw Wanda Maximoff called her Marvel superhero name: Scarlet Witch (even though she's been credited with this titled since Avengers: Age of Ultron and fans knew exactly who she is/was).

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

The episode gave the first real glimpse at the real personality of Kathryn Hahn's villainous witch, Agatha Harkness, who was previously posing as a nosy sitcom neighbor named Agnes. She and Wanda spent much of the time looking for ~~~clues~~~ through Wanda's past memories, while the episode didn't pick up on the previous episode's cliffhanger with Monica and "Pietro."

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Even though she's the show's villain, Agatha has already become a fan favorite (thanks Kathryn Hahn!). And some fans related with her approach to Wanda's magical shenanigans.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Another villain, SWORD Acting Director Tyler Hayward, has some evil plan brewing with a deconstructed version of Vision. (Which we eventually learn is to rebuild Vision, make him white, and call him "Project Cataract." Very clever, big man.)

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Hayward's also been exposed as a big old liar.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

When Wanda left the SWORD HQ, we also saw her ride. A Buick! Relatable. But definitely a bit of Avengers automobile inequality going on.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Wanda is definitely still relatable in March 2021, too.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

And honestly, the show has some parallels to some of 2021's other early runaway hits.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Even though some people still aren't all the way on board.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

There's a lot of emotions happening in, well, every episode.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

A lot of generally wild shit, to be clear.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Episode 5 had perhaps the wildest of shit, though. Yeah.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Some theories are going around...

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

But it's hard to even consider theories when we're still haunted by BABY VISION.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Agnes was always scheming.

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

The show really is going into Wanda's past traumas.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

There's still space for some general fun, though.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

People seem to just be happy for Wanda doing her own thing and being a boss, though. Things will sort themselves out.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% endverbatim %}

Seriously...let her rock.

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

A lot of fans are seeing themselves in characters depicted on screen.

People seemed to particularly appreciate how into it all Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) was getting.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Others appreciated the work that Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) has put in since his first MCU appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

While others remembered one of Mr. Park's most memorable TV appearances on The Office.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Questions about Vision are really starting to bubble to the top.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Particularly about his...uh....body.........

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% endverbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

Some revelations about Wanda have made for good meme/comedy fodder, obviously.

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

And then again, there's always that 🎵Wan daVision Wan Wan daVision🎵 song...

{{ this.render( "@app/views/shared/embed-accessibility-text.twig", { embedName: "Twitter", })|raw}}

{% verbatim %}

{% endverbatim %}

But it seems like most of us are in the same boat: patiently waiting for the next damn episode.

(While some are even already waiting for the next Disney+ series)
