24 Days of Whiskey? This Advent Calendar Lets You Taste a New Tipple Daily Through the Holiday Season
Is there a better way to celebrate the lead-up to Christmas than sampling a different whiskey each day in December? Spirits club Flaviar certainly thinks so, and has created the new The Art of Distillation–The Amber Kingdom Advent Calendar for fans of whiskey looking for drams to ring in the holiday season.
We’ve been gathering some of the best advent calendars to buy this season, and this new one will take you on a liquid journey around the whiskey world, with 24 different 50-ml samples from eight countries, two Glencairn glasses, a leather coaster, and a journal to document your own tasting notes. You will also receive a free Flaviar Black membership: a 12-month subscription to the club’s website that includes samples, early access to special offers, and other membership perks.

“Every year since its first release in 2018, the advent calendar is Flaviar’s most highly anticipated release of the year and a sure sellout,” said co-founder Grisa Soba in a statement. “Finding 24 whiskeys worthy of inclusion is a challenge we take seriously and I’m extremely proud that the 2023 advent calendar selection is truly the best one so far. The whiskeys included encompass many different styles in the category, ranging from bourbon to Danish rye to Australian single malt. There are both well-known and smaller craft distilleries and brands participating, including Sagamore Spirit (Maryland), Uncle Nearest (Tennessee) , Bushmills (Northern Ireland), Stauning (Denmark), Starward (Australia), Chichibu (Japan), Lochlea (Scotland), and Limestone Branch (Kentucky). According to Flaviar, there are no repeats from previous years and there is 60 percent more whiskey included than other similar whiskey advent calendars. The Art of Distillation–The Amber Kingdom Advent Calendar is available now for $250, but it tends to sell out so visit the Flaviar website to buy one before it’s gone.
