1.Colin and Araminta's wedding in Crazy Rich Asians.
Yes, Colin and Araminta's $40 million wedding may have been extravagant and over the top, but oh boy, wasn't it beautiful? From the palms lining the chapel to the light-up fireflies and the aisle flooded with water, this has to be one of the most breathtaking on-screen weddings of all time.
2.Jim and Pam's wedding on The Office.
Everyone has an opinion about Jim and Pam, but there's no denying that their wedding was truly something else. The pair knew their coworkers would ruin the real ceremony (that Chris Brown flash mob, anyone?), so they escaped to say their vows under the spray of Niagara Falls. Truly adorable.
3.Prince Akeem and Lisa in Coming To America
Leaving the comforts of royalty and wealth, Prince Akeem ventured to New York to find his one true love. These two were a perfect match and gave the world hope that there's more to love than just the size of a man's wallet.
4.Seth and Summer's wedding on The OC.
Maybe it was because of the show's series finale, or maybe it's because most of us watched it when we were hormonal teenagers, but this was one the most weeping-inducing weddings I've ever seen. It was silly and goofy — just like Seth and Summer — and made me want to cry with joy.
5.Meredith and Derek's Post-It wedding on Grey's Anatomy.
This one might not technically be a wedding, but we're counting it because it's one of the most romantic scenes to ever air on TV. Mer and Der didn't have any time to make it to the courthouse, so just signed their vows on a Post-It... it simply doesn't get more iconic than that. Let's just forget that tears of joy from this scene quickly turned into tears of horror, as Meredith realizes that the bus accident victim John Doe is actually George and he's about to die.
6.Jamie and Landon's wedding in A Walk to Remember.
If you didn't cry at this one, then you might just be a robot. From Landon asking Jamie to spend the rest of her (short) life with him, to their simple yet beautiful ceremony officiated by her dad, every single element was heart-wrenchingly perfect.
7.Bella and Edward's wedding in Breaking Dawn: Part I.
Bella and Edward's relationship is toxic and problematic... but also insanely romantic. The wedding, set in the woods and decorated with droopy wisteria and a floral arch, is straight out of our teenage Pinterest boards. Dreamy and ethereal, but still somehow with that edginess we've come to love from our fave vampire couple.
8.Haley and Dylan's wedding on Modern Family.
When starting Season 1 of Modern Family, you'd never imagine yourself getting teary-eyed watching then-teenager Haley marrying her dropkick boyfriend Dylan. But this scene, where she's nine months pregnant with Phil officiating in his bathrobe, proved that ceremonies don't have to be big and ornate to be special.
9.Ariel and Eric's wedding in The Little Mermaid.
This one tugged at our heartstrings when we were kids, and *still* somehow gets us in the feels. Not only is Ariel's dress the gown of our Disney princess dreams, but the sweet moment where she reconciles with her father really is what gets us crying.
10.Juliet and Peter's wedding in Love Actually.
Though Juliet and Peter were already cute-as-hell to begin with, it was the pop-up band and singers that truly made this wedding one for the history books. No wonder that guy was so obsessed with her.
11.Jamal and Kai's wedding on Empire.
Even if you weren't invested in Jamal and Kai's romance, this was the first gay Black wedding to be aired on TV — special in its own right! And, what's more, Chaka Khan popped up with a surprise performance.
12.Annie and Bryan's wedding in Father of the Bride
It's not the wedding itself that makes this scene so heartwarming. It's Steve Martin's speech about realizing that he'd lost his little girl: “I suddenly realized what was happening: Annie was all grown up and leaving us. And something inside began to hurt.” It really captured the warring emotions that parents feel at their kids' weddings — with some humor thrown in to lighten the mood, of course.
13.Callie and Arizona's wedding on Grey's Anatomy.
What made this ceremony so beautiful is that it happened in the face of hate — Callie's mom telling her that the wedding wasn't technically real. It was Bailey's speech about how love and commitment are what make a marriage real, not some legal document, which got the brides down the aisle. And Callie’s dad showing up for the father-daughter dance? Truly tear-jerking.
14.David and Patrick's wedding on Schitt's Creek.
Just when we thought nothing could top the romantic scene where Patrick serenades David with “Simply the Best,” along came this wedding which left absolutely zero dry eyes in the audience. Even with the hilarity of Moira dressed as a vicar, Alexis walking David down the aisle in a bridal gown, and Patrick singing Mariah Carey in his vows, the ceremony was as touching as we'd come to expect from Schitt's Creek.
15.Michael and Kimberly's wedding in My Best Friend's Wedding.
It wasn't the newlyweds that made this wedding so emotionally memorable — it was Julia Roberts coming to terms with the fact that her best friend loves someone else, no matter what she does to change his mind. Her teary maid of honor speech ends with a dance dedicated to the new bride and groom, and it's by far the best (and most realistic) ending of any '90s rom-com.
16.Ian and Toula's wedding in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
The whole point of this movie is Toula's parents not approving of her fiancé, which is what makes the wedding scene all the more touching. Watching her gruff Greek dad comparing the couple to apples and oranges — and then going on to buy the newlyweds a house — makes Ian and Toula's ceremony one of the most special and emotional of all time.
17.Luke and Lorelai's wedding on Gilmore Girls
We'd been waiting for this one for so long. Twenty years after Lorelai's dream wedding didn't eventuate, finally we got to see it play out in the Gilmore Girls revival. Though they eloped in lieu of the big ceremony we'd anticipated, somehow that made it even sweeter. It was slapdash and casual, but it was perfect.
18.Ezra and Amira's wedding in You People.
Just when their relationship seemed doomed to never work out, the couple's surprise wedding – organized by their parents – came out of nowhere to save the day. A retail store was transformed into a flower-filled wonderland, packed out with all their loved ones ready to watch the pair walk down the aisle. Just seeing the joy on both of their faces was enough to bring tears to my eyes.
19.Krish and Ananya's wedding in 2 States.
While "our parents don't want us to get married" is a classic rom-com trope we've seen play out hundreds of times on-screen, it still always fills us with joy to get that inevitable happy ending. The wedding in 2 States almost didn't happen, but it's one of the most beautiful ones of all time. That temple? The decor? The outfits? Absolute goals.
20.Angel and Papi's wedding on Pose.
We all thought that nothing could top the romance levels of the Season Two scene where both Angel and Papi proposed to each other at the same time. But then along came their wedding in the next season, and all bets were off. Every single element of it is emotional and perfect, but Lulu giving Angel her sober chip to be the bride's “something borrowed” was really the icing on the cake that had us sobbing.
21.Jane and Rafael's wedding on Jane the Virgin.
This wedding was really the perfect embodiment of the song lyric "hell was the journey but it brought me heaven". It took all five seasons of the show, a few other weddings and divorces, and a lot of heartbreak, but it was all worth it to finally see Jane and Rafael tie the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony officiated by her grandmother.
22.Jake and Rebecca's wedding on This Is Us.
Though this ceremony certainly got us in the feels when it aired back in Season One, rewatching it is nothing but a truly heartbreaking experience. Knowing what we know now – no spoilers! – it's all just a little too much.
