22-Year-Old Dog Hoping For His Forever Home After Owner Suddenly Passed
Every once in a while we'll hear about different instances where pet owners can no longer take care of their pets. It's heartbreaking because it can be unexpected or the owners just can no longer afford to look after their fur babies. Either way, it usually means those pets are brought to an animal shelter.
That's what happened to this senior dog whose owner suddenly passed away. Meet Cooper. This 22-year-old Poodle Mix unexpectedly lost his owner and now he's living at an Illinois-based animal shelter, known on TikTok as @youngatheartpets. We're desperately hoping social media can find Cooper a new home to spend the rest of his golden years.

Ugh, our hearts are completely broken for poor Cooper. We can’t even imagine what he’s thinking after being in a loving home for so long. The shelter is probably so loud and scary to him. That's why this dog shelter is hoping to find a new home for him so he can spend the rest of his days with a quiet and loving family.
"What a healthy and happy senior! I hope he finds a home quickly, he deserves that for his golden years," commented @alexistaylortaylor. Right?! We couldn't believe Cooper was 22. He looks incredible for being a senior dog. @yury410 added, "What a beautiful angel at 22." You can say that again!
