2024 Spring Fest begins Thursday night at Kern County Fairgrounds

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Fairgrounds is hosting Spring Fest beginning Thursday.

Organizers at the fairgrounds said Spring Fest is back for 2024. The event takes place at the Fairgrounds from May 9 through May 12 beginning at 5 p.m.

Visitors can expect food vendors, rides and games during the event. Butler Amusements is providing a Ferris wheel called the Eagle 16 Wheel taking riders 60 feet over the fairgrounds.

Ay Mi Pa! opens at Valley Plaza Mall

More adventurous fairgoers can ride the 1001 Nachts. It’s a ride that takes riders for a literal spin giving them a free-falling feeling, Butler says.

Admission is $5. Individual ride and game tickets cost $1 each, with rides costing between three to six tickets, while some games cost 10 or more tickets to play. Or, you can buy a one-day unlimited ride wristband for $37. Parking for the event is $5.

The Fairgrounds are located at 1142 S. P St. For more information, visit the Kern County Fairgrounds website or Butler Amusements.
