The 2024 People’s Choice Awards, commonly referred to as the PCAs, will take place on Sunday in Los Angeles. The event will feature a number of nominated stars who have previously attended the show in custom looks and designer labels, from Jennifer Aniston in a sleek satin dress from Prada to Chase Stokes in a black two-piece set from Versace.
Ahead of the 2024 PCAs, WWD looks back at what some of the nominees wore when they attended the show for the first time.

Jennifer Aniston, 2001
Jennifer Aniston, nominated for Female TV Star of the Year and Drama TV Star of the Year for her role in “The Morning Show,” attended her first PCAs in 2001. The actress arrived wearing a long black satin gown with a rushed bodice and twisted strap detailing from Prada.
Chris Pratt, 2003
Chris Pratt, who was nominated this year for Male Movie Star of the Year and Action Movie Star of the Year for his role in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 3,” first walked the show’s red carpet in 2003. The actor arrived wearing a black pinstriped sports jacket and burgundy striped tie.
Miley Cyrus, 2007
Miley Cyrus, who was nominated this year for Female Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Endless Summer Vacation” and Song of the Year for “Flowers,” debuted on the show’s red carpet in 2007. The singer wore a dark green minidress by BCBG Max Azria.
Reese Witherspoon, 2009
Reese Witherspoon, who received a nomination this year for Female TV Star of the Year and Drama TV Star of the Year for her role in “The Morning Show,” attended the PCAs for the first time in 2009. She wore a little black dress from Fendi and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.
Taylor Swift, 2010
Taylor Swift, nominated this year for Movie of the Year and Concert Tour Movie of the Year for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film,” as well as Female Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year and Social Celebrity of the Year, attended her first PCAs in 2010. On the red carpet, Swift wore a sparkling white strapless white Jenny Packham minidress.
Selena Gomez, 2011
Selena Gomez, who was nominated this year for Female TV Star of the Year and Comedy TV Star of the Year for her role in “Only Murders in the Building,” as well as Social Celebrity of the Year, first walked the show’s red carpet in 2011. The star performed wearing a butterfly-printed dress by Irina Shabayeva.
Jennifer Lawrence, 2012
Jennifer Lawrence, nominated this year for Female Movie Star of 2023 and Comedy Movie Star of the Year for her role in “No Hard Feelings,” attended her first PCAs in 2012. On the red carpet, Lawrence wore a sheer dress with blue overlay detailing from Viktor & Rolf’s spring 2012 collection.
Viola Davis, 2015
Viola Davis, who received a nomination this year for Female Movie Star of 2023 and Action Movie Star of the Year for her role in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” as well as Movie Performance of the Year for her role in “Air,” first walked the PCAs red carpet in 2015. To the show, the actress wore a hot pink V-neck gown from Escada’s spring 2015 collection.
Scarlett Johansson, 2018
Scarlett Johansson, nominated this year for Comedy Movie Star of the Year for her role in “Asteroid City,” attended her first PCAs in 2018. On the red carpet, Johansson wore a red corset, large statement belt and a pair of black trousers from Versace’s 2019 resort collection.
Sydney Sweeney, 2021
Sydney Sweeney, who was nominated this year for Comedy Movie Star of the Year for her role in “Anyone But You,” first walked the show’s red carpet in 2021. The actress arrived wearing a black and white Saint Laurent cocktail dress.
Chase Stokes, 2021
Chase Stokes, who received a nomination this year for Male TV Star of the Year and Drama TV Star of the Year for his role in “Outer Banks,” first walked the PCAs red carpet in 2021. To the show, the actor wore a black two-piece set from Versace.
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards will premiere on Sunday Feb. 18 on NBC, E! and Peacock.
