From coast to coast, Chef Mina focuses on fostering the talents of young local chefs and promoting upward mobility for all staff while ensuring each concept gives back to its local communities through various philanthropic initiatives year-round. Chef Mina will bring his love of the American steakhouse experience to Cabo, featuring classic Americana infused with his arsenal of world flavors and dramatic flair. Adam Sobel is a Chef/Partner at MINA Group, responsible for concept development and menu creation. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he has earned widespread acclaim working alongside top chefs worldwide. In addition to his culinary achievements, he is a familiar face on popular Food Network shows like <em>Tournament of Champions, Guy's Grocery Games,</em> and <em>Chopped,</em> where he has served as both a competitor and judge.</li><li><strong>Mitsuharu Tsumura (April 11 - 13, 2024): </strong>Mitsuharu “Micha” Tsumura is a Peruvian chef of Japanese descent whose most personal and well-known project, Maido Restaurant, is located in his hometown of Lima, Peru. A true reflection of Micha’s personality – friendly, funny and elegant – throughout its 15-year history, Maido has been nationally recognized as the Best Restaurant in Peru for the past five years in a row and is internationally ranked #1 on the prestigious <a href="https://www.theworlds50best.com/latinamerica/en/list/1-50" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants</a> (a position it held uninterruptedly from 2017-2019), as well as #6 on <a href="https://www.theworlds50best.com/the-list/1-10/maido.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:The World’s Best 50 Restaurants;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">The World’s Best 50 Restaurants</a>. Chef Micha is also the author of the book “Nikkei is Peru” and director of the Netflix documentary “Peru, Hidden Treasure.” </li><li><strong>Jaime Pesaque (May 23 – 25, 2024): </strong>Jaime Pesaque was born and raised in Peru, with training in Europe and apprenticed at Michelin Star Restaurants throughout Italy and Spain, including El Celler de Can Roca. Following his training he came back to Peru, where he opened his flagship restaurant, Mayta, a contemporary Peruvian cuisine restaurant and pisco bar in Lima, Peru, where the traceability of native products is always eagerly sought, thus combining culinary techniques contemporary with local products to create sophisticated and modern dishes. Mayta was ranked as #47 on <a href="https://www.theworlds50best.com/the-list/41-50/mayta.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:The World’s 50 Best Restaurants;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">The World’s 50 Best Restaurants</a> 2023 list.</li><li><strong>San Francisco Chef Takeover (June 13 - 15, 2024):</strong></li><ul><li><strong>David Yoshimura: </strong>Chef David Yoshimura began his professional career as a cook in New York City, working at wd~50 for several years up until its closure. He has also worked abroad at many notable restaurants such as Kagurazaka Ishikawa, Nihonryori Ryugin, and Asador Etxebarri. After NYC, Chef David joined the team at Californios in the restaurant's first year open and helped attain their first Michelin star within six months. David Yoshimura later passed his Certified Sommelier exam to expand his knowledge of wine and beverages. Chef David began the journey of opening Nisei as a pop-up in the summer of 2020-2021. Nisei finally opened as a brick in Mortar in August of 2021, where Chef David has utilized his eclectic experience to bring the Bay Area a new approach to Japanese American food. In 2022, Chef David was also nominated for a James Beard Award for Emerging Chef, as well as one Michelin star. He was also awarded the Young Chef Award by Michelin the very same year. Now Chef David has retained his one Michelin star and sets his sights toward the future of Japanese American cuisine.</li><li><strong>Seth Stowaway: </strong>Chef Seth Stowaway has worked under famed chefs Jordan Grosser, Brandon Jew, and Thomas Peña, among others. He opened <a href="https://www.ositosf.co/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:Osito;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">Osito</a> in December 2021 after fundraising through culinary pop-ups throughout the pandemic. Known for offering guests a 100 percent live-fire dining experience, Osito was awarded its first Michelin star less than one year after opening, which it has since retained. Over this weekend guests at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal can indulge in Chef Stowaway’s elevated, fiery offerings while soaking up the sun on Cabo San Lucas’ most coveted parcel of land.</li></ul></ul>
