Get your corned beef stew and pints of Guinness Beer ready because St. Patrick's Day is here!

As we celebrate the Irish holiday on Fri. Mar. 17, we're taking it city by city to determine if yours knows how to celebrate it the right way with a list of the most Irish cities in the United States.

LawnStarter took a look at which cities have the most Irish spirit by breaking down the cities with the most Irish restaurants and pubs, the most St. Patrick's Day events, the most Irish dance schools, and most local Irish organizations.

Coming in at number one is New York City! The Big (Green) Apple dominated three out of four categories, despite Irish Americans making up a small fraction of the city's total population with just 4.4%.

According to LawnStarter, New York is home to the most Irish Americans with over 386,000 as of 2021. The city is abundant with Irish pubs, Irish social groups, dance schools, and more as the demand is high due to the large number of Irish Americans who reside in NYC.

This year, per the report, New York beat out Boston, MA which was ranked in the top spot as the most Irish city in 2022. Now Boston comes in third and Chicago ranks second on the list with Philadelphia ranking as number four and San Francisco coming in as the fifth most Irish city in the U.S.

If you find yourself in New York City on St. Paddy's Day, make sure to hit up the parade, which includes a six-hour-long line of Irish dancers, bagpipers, and jugglers marching down Fifth Avenue. And, of course, if you're in Chicago, make sure to stop by the Riverwalk to get a glimpse of the river that the city dyes green every year.

Boston has a wide array of different Irish restaurants and pubs in Bean Town that will be celebrating the Irish holiday. You can also watch a rugby game at the Banshee, see fiddlers at Mr. Dooley's Tavern, or check out where the scenes of Good Will Hunting were filmed!

Philly folks can hit up The Rosenbach Museum & Library to have the opportunity to touch over 100 pages of Irish author Bram Stoker's notes and outlines on his famous vampire novel, Dracula.

Last but not least, San Francisco offers dozens of restaurants, including The Buena Vista where you can grab yourself an Irish Coffee that has been recreated from the original version invented at the Shannon Airport in Ireland.
