Where will the 2023 Tony Awards be held?

The Tony Awards will be held in New York City's United Palace.

Who is hosting the 2023 Tony Awards?

Ariana DeBose will be returning to host this year's event, and she's definitely looking forward to it. She commented, "I was honored to serve as host last year and even more so to be asked back! So looking forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make the work happen. Here’s to adding some uptown flavor to the magic of the Tony Awards!"

However, DeBose's hosting may be less of a spectacle than her previous hosting gigs (where say, Angela Bassett did the thing). Due to the WGA writers strike, the scripted bits of the broadcast couldn't be written, which means it will be a barer bones Tonys than it has been in the past.

In addition, Julianne Hough and Skylar Astin will be hosting "The Tony Awards: Act One," a pre-show event that will include the presentation of several awards. It will be available to stream on Pluto TV from 6:30 to 8:00 ET.

Who is performing at the 2023 Tony Awards?

Every year at the Tonys, a selection of the musicals from that years crop of nominees perform numbers. This year the performances include the following musicals:

  • & Juliet

  • A Beautiful Noise

  • Camelot

  • Funny Girl

  • Into the Woods

  • Kimberly Akimbo

  • New York, New York

  • Parade

  • Shucked

  • Some Like It Hot

  • Sweeney Todd
